
Patient and Visitor Information Visitation 7am – 9pm Because visitation for patients at Lake City Community Hospital is an important part of recovery, visits by families and friends are welcome during regular visiting hours except where some restriction may apply. Children under 6 years of age are not allowed in the patient care areas without the approval from your physician or the Nursing Service Supervisor. We ask that our visitors adhere to and respect these regulations: § Don’t visit a patient if you are ill yourself. § Smoking is not permitted in the hospital. § Children until the age of 12 should not be left unattended by an adult any place in the hospital. § Please keep the volume level of conversation such that it cannot be heard outside your room. Visitors in semi-private rooms should be considerate of both patients. § The hospital reserves the right to ask a visitor to leave if it is in the best interest of any patient. § Visitors may be asked to leave a patient’s room so that care and treatment can be rendered. § Appropriate clothing, including shirt and shoes must be worn. § Beverages, food, and medications should be brought in only after consulting with the patient’s nurse. § Each pediatric patient should have a parent or designated caregiver with him/her at all times. § Visits should be kept short. The average visit should be 20 minutes or less.
