At Lake City Community Hospital, we understand how busy you are.  We know that you sometimes put off routine health screenings or postpone learning about preventive care because it just doesn’t fit into your weekly schedule.

That’s why we bring preventive health care to you with FREE COMMUNITY HEALTH SCREENINGS throughout the year.  As a community service we go to area churches, civic groups, schools, work places, and area retail stores in order to make it convenient for our community.   Any group of 30 or more within our service area that are interested in having a free health screening may contact us at 843.374.6127 to arrange.  Please check our calendar for events that are scheduled in our community.

Our hope is that you will take the results from these screenings and educate yourself and if needed follow up with your family physician.  “Screenings” are a helpful tool in determining if there could be a health problem that needs medical attention or further testing.  We also provide educational material for you to become better educated about your health.

Free Health Screenings include: 

• Blood Pressure

• Cholesterol

• Triglycerides

• Bone Density Pre-Screening

• Thyroid

• Blood Sugar

• Blood PSA (men over 40 year old or that have a family history of prostate cancer)
